Me
and my "assistant" for the day. My friend Jennifer
has a cat named Brick. He is so funny, he always gets in the
middle of everything!

Here
is my dear David and I at our favorite cafe, " Chin Chin's,"
in LA on Sunset Blvd. (Our other favorite would be Spago's in Hollywood.)
LA has always been "our" place. I remember when we first came
to California in 1993. "Everybody Else" was being played on
the radio and we had such high hopes. I had my first meeting with MCA
records and Dolly Parton's manager, Sandy Gallin. This photo is 6 years
later and me, 6 years wiser. David had come into LA on business and
we got to spend the day together. We drove around the city and then
drove up to Malibu to watch the sun set. It was a wonderful day. |

This
is my dear grandmother, "Nanoo." She was there for me
after the dark times of my youth. I moved in with her when I was
15 and lived with her till I moved out on my own at almost 17.
My years
of living with her were some of the best of my life. I regained
my center (after a terrible early home life with my Dad and Mom) and decided I liked who I was while I was with her. She
took wonderful care of me and has always been one of my dearest
friends.
She is the CENTER of my family life.

Pinque/Kitten and I had just finished performing in West Hollywood for their
annual PRIDE festival. I had released my first CD, "Remember
Me" that night. It was June 28th, 1998. (My little brother's
21st birthday.)

Here
are Jamie and I in 1997 at one of his first photo shoots. I always thought
this was an interesting picture. |
Whenever
Jamie and I go visit his Mom back in Massachusetts, she always makes
me my favorite, her original "hot dog stew." I know, I
know ... sounds thick and icky, right? Well, it's
not. It's lite and very tasty!
It's delicious! |

Here
is me and my momma after we went to see the movie, "Twister."
This is one of my favorite pictures of us as "adults."
I love and admire my Mother very much. She is one of the warmest and
most genuine people I have ever known. I am so glad I was born on
this planet as her son. Somehow, she just makes life
make sense.
